Task Board
The problem this solves
Commitments don't arrive as tasks. They arrive mid-sentence in a meeting, in a Telegram message at 11pm, as a "sure, I'll send that over" in a chat you've already forgotten. Then they live in your head until they don't.
The Task Board catches them as they go past, and lets you hand any one of them to an agent that will keep working it — not for one run, but across days, waking up on its own when there's a reason to.
Open it from Work → Task Board.
How cards arrive
You never have to type most of them. AI Partner watches the conversations it's already part of and proposes a card whenever it hears a commitment. Every card is tagged with where it came from:
| Tag | Where it came from |
|---|---|
| chat | Something you or the agent committed to in a conversation |
| telegram | A message on a connected messaging channel |
| meeting | An action item from a meeting it attended |
| owed | Something another person owes you — tracked from your side |
| proactive | Raised by AI Partner's own background monitoring |
| agent | Created by an agent while doing other work |
| manual | You added it yourself with + Add card |
Proposed cards land in Inbox. Nothing acts on them until you say so.
The owed tag is the one people underestimate. Follow-ups usually die because the person who is owed something forgets they're owed it. Those become cards too, with the counterparty attached.
Working the board
Four columns, left to right: Inbox → To Do → In Progress → Done. Drag a card between them, or use the buttons on the card. A Dropped column can be shown when you want to see what you dismissed — anything there can be Restored.
Each card carries what you need to triage it at a glance: its source, a priority dot, and a due date that turns red when it's overdue.
What you can do with a card
- Track — accept it. The card moves to To Do and is now something you're on the hook for.
- ▶ Goal — skip triage and run it right now as an autonomous goal.
- Drop — dismiss it. It stops asking.
A card that has become a goal, a recurring task or a job says so with a chip, so the board never hides the fact that something is already running.
Turning a card into a job
Some cards aren't tasks but outcomes: something that needs chasing over days, where forgetting what you already tried is the main way it fails. Click 💼 Job on a tracked card to hand it to an agent that keeps working it.
The card's title and details become the job's brief. You pick the agent that owns it and add the reasons it should wake up: a schedule, an email, a meeting coming up, a page changing. Then you follow every run on the Jobs screen. The card shows job · @agent, so you can see who's carrying it.
Closing the card (✓ Done or Drop) closes the job and stops its wakes. The card is the switch.

Choosing between a goal, a recurring task and a job
| Goal | Recurring task | Job | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lifespan | One run, start to finish | The same thing, on a timetable | An outcome, pursued over days |
| Remembers earlier runs | Within the run | No — each run is fresh | Yes — through its notes and thread |
| Wakes because | You asked | The clock | A schedule, an email, a meeting, a change, a webhook, or you |
| Ends when | It's done or it fails | You switch it off | You close it |
| Best for | "Build me the competitor deck" | "Every weekday at 9, brief me" | "Get this contract signed" |
